Raymond Paul Horspool

Raymond Paul Horspool, Sr. passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Moreno Valley, California. Raymond is survived by his wife, Winifred Green Horspool, his nine children, namely Margaret H. Updike, J. David Horspool, Karin E. Horspool and Robert G. Horspool, all of Moreno Valley, Raymond P. Horspool, Jr., Dianne H. Fewkes and William F. Horspool of Riverside, Barbara Howard of Los Angeles and Carol H. Chenoweth of Birmingham, Alabama. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret F. Horspool, to whom he was married for 53 years. Raymond was an officer in the United States Navel Reserve and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Navel Reserve with the rank of a Captain. He worked for FMC Corporation for 40 years. Raymond was an avid gardener and raised the best corn on the cob, fresh asparagus, fresh tomatoes and the best strawberries. He will be sorely missed by his family. A memorial service will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Mortuary in Redlands, CA at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011.
