Richard Alan Young

Richard Alan Young passed away the 19th of October in Redlands, CA. Rick dedicated his life to Public Service from serving his country with the U.S. Army 75th Airborne Rangers, active reserve with the 12th Special Forces Group, 3rd Battalion, B Company; to protecting the community as a Reserve Police Officer with Redlands Police Department and Corporal for the Banning Police Department. He finished his Public Service as Supervising Deputy District Attorney for San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, as he advocated for victims and their families. His hard-work, humor, and ethics is what we remember, but his generosity, support, advice, and conviction will fill our hearts. Rick is survived by his wife Anne Young; daughters Kimberlee Chatigny and Alisa Young; son Thomas Young; two grandchildren Samantha Myers and Aubrey Sanders; mother Patricia Young; brother Don Young and sister Cyndi Klingaman. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Pathway Church in Redlands, CA 11:00am. Rick will be privately laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. Reception will be 3:30pm-8:00m at the Elks Lodge in Redlands, CA. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Run For the Wall at rftw.us in honor of Rick Young.
