Robert Alan Gruber

Died peacefully on April 29, 2014 in Riverside, CA with family by his side. His final months were spent surrounded by family and new friends at Sunrise Senior Living. Robert was born July 09, 1933 to Raymond and Viola Gruber in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Robert worked his entire career in the grocery business. He also served for two and half years in the United States Army. His wife of 41 years and love of his life, Wanda Gruber, precede him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Jenny Carter-Gruber, sister Delores, brother Thomas (Joyce): stepdaughter Pam Davidson, stepsons Mel and Gary Field; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Monday May 12, 2014 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Emmerson-Bartlett Chapel, 703 Brookside Avenue, Redland, CA. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, CA.
