Robert (Bob) E. Saiz of Kingman, AZ, passed away on June 11, 2020, after a short illness. He was 68 years old.
Bob was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 23, 1952 to parents, Eulalio and Sally Saiz. When he was 5 years old, the family moved to Los Angeles, CA, where Bob attended school, graduating from Mt. Carmel High School in 1970.
Immediately after graduation, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He proudly served in Vietnam, Italy, and several bases in the United States.
After his discharge from the Air Force, Bob entered the California Highway Patrol academy in Sacramento, CA. Upon graduation from the academy in 1977, his first assigned duty as a CHP officer was in the Santa Fe Springs office. Approximately 1 years later, Bob transferred to the San Gorgonio Pass office in Banning, where he worked for the remainder of his career, retiring in June, 2008.
In 2011, Bob married his best friend and soulmate, Debbie. Bob and Debbie resided in Highland, CA until May, 2019, when they moved to Kingman, AZ.
Bob loved going to Rams and Dodger games, as he was an avid fan of both teams. He also loved camping, shooting guns and playing golf, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Debbie Saiz of Kingman AZ, sons Robert Saiz, Jr. (Veronica) of San Bernardino, CA, and Michael Saiz (Tiffany) of Bella Vista, AR, daughters Sophia Miller (Yianni) of Phoenix, AZ and Shantil Saiz, also of Phoenix, AZ, sister Christine ONeill (Ray) of Tehachapi, CA, seventeen grandkids, one great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Mortuary in Redlands, CA on June 23, 2020, at 2 P.M. Everyone is welcome. Burial will be private at Riverside National Cemetery.
