Robin Lynn Pugel

September 22, 1949 — June 17, 2017

Robin Pugel, 67, of Yucaipa, CA, was reunited with her Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Robin was born on September 22, 1949 in Illinois to Robert and Bettie Jayne (Nelson) Mosby. She was married to William Pugel, her soul mate, on January 1, 1991. She graduated from San Bernardino Valley College with her R.N. in 1992, and later, became an R.N.C. specializing in neonatal care, working for many years with her friends and co-workers at St. Bernardines Medical Center NICU.
Robin had an open and generous heart, quietly mentoring and serving those in need, from new moms, to the homeless, to neighborhood kids. She sponsored children from 3rd world countries, volunteered with Garden of Angels, created bereavement boxes for St. Bernardines, and contributed to infant medical care overseas, and many other causes including helping wounded veterans. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She LOVED. She loved freely, without judgement to all who needed love, and this is her legacy.
Robin is survived by her husband, William Pugel, and her children. Her sons, Gerard (J.R.) Berks, Byl Pugel, and Lael Pugel. Her daughters, Rita Entwistle and Emily Dixon. She was blessed with several children who called her mom or auntie, and whom she loved as her own such as Steven Cato and Blue Salinas, and others. She had several grandchildren who called her Nana; Jared and Alora Pugel, Sarah Garcia, Bradly Entwistle, Orion Velez, Logan, Hayley and Chloe Dixon, Jonah, Jonathan and Corey Pugel, others living in distant areas, and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Robert Mosby, and her brother Robert (Bobby) Mosby, her two sisters, Karen Cintron and Noreen Tyler, and sister in law, Sheryl Mosby.
She is preceded in death by her youngest son, Raymond Velez, her sister, Wrennie Brucato, her mother, Bettie Jayne, and her step-mother, Joan Mosby. She has been reunited with them at last.
Viewing will be on July 3, 2017 at Emmerson Bartlett located at 703 Brookside Avenue, Redlands, CA 92373 at 10:00 am, with services beginning at 11:00 am. Robin will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518, at 12:45pm. July 4th was her favorite holiday, so it is appropriate that we celebrate her life as she desired.
