Rose Hammond

Rose Martinovich Hammond passed away peacefully at age 92 in Calimesa, CA. Born to Nicholas and Mary (Cressudge) Martinovich on April 11, 1920 in Mahoning County Ohio, Rose ventured to California following her sisters Anne and Helen. A longtime resident of Yucaipa, CA, Rose is preceded in death by her husband George Ross Hammond. Rose is survived by nephews, Bill Hoover, Bob Hoover, Nick(Barbara) Otten, and nieces Kathy (Micheal) McNamara, Dawn Marie Africa and Debbie; step children; Pete, Janet, Gretta and Mary. And by many loving great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by brothers, Dan and Geroge Martinovich; sisters, Martha Rudick, Anne Hoover and Helen Otten. Rose retired after 25 years as a personal specialist for the Department of Defense for the U.S. Government Rose was an avid oil painter who enjoyed showing her artwork at shows in the Yucaipa area. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 2:01pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA
