Ruben Robert Garcia

Ruben Robert "Unkie" Garcia born November 1st 1938 in Redlands Ca. passed away at home on August 11 2020.
Ruben was a graduate of Redlands High School and worked as a barber for 56 years. In his younger days he had also worked in the citrus industry and at the University of Redlands. Ruben loved horse racing, football especially the Rams, gardening, cooking and trips to Laughlin Nevada and local casinos.
Ruben loved his large family and cared for his mother for many years. He married Marie Garcia on July 24 1999 in Yucaipa California and the couple lived in Redlands.
Ruben is survived by his wife Marie, his sister Ruby Garcia and husband Carlos of Redlands, brother Thomas Garcia and wife Frances of Redlands, his daughter Alicia Sanchez and husband Manuel of Redlands, step son Patrick and wife Wanda, step daughter Regina and husband Richard, step granddaughter Abby and granddaughter Gizelle, and two great granddaughters, plus many nieces, nephews and family.
Rubens grouchiness, generosity and love will be much missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA from 9:00am to 11:00am with a Funeral Service starting at 11:00am and burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Alessandro Road, Redlands, CA at 1:00pm with Father Eric Esparza officiating.
