Shirley May Ward Baker, passed away peacefully July 31, 2009. She was born March 9, 1940 at Redlands Community Hospital to Lawrence and Olivetta Ward. She passed away at home in Yucaipa surrounded by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry and Robert Ward. She leaves behind her loving husband of 30 years, Robert Baker, daughter Diana Hudson and Mike of Yucaipa, son, Michael DeGifford and Kristen, Huntersville, N.C., stepson, Ron Baker and Sandy of Loma Linda, CA, stepdaughter, Denise Baker of Yucaipa, sister, Jeanne Spangler and Larry, Desert Hot Springs, CA and 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grand daughter. Shirley was very dedicated to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Yucaipa 5th Ward. She was active in Relief Society and visiting teaching. Her and her husband were members of FMCA, the Revconeers R.V. Club and Yucaipa Land Yacht Harbor where they lived for the past 7 years. After Shirley and Robert were married, they moved to Fontana where they lived for 9 years then they went full timing in their R.V. traveling up to the time they moved into Land Yacht Harbor. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. with viewing one half hour prior to services at the L.D.S. Church located at 12665 6th Street, Yucaipa, California. Burial will be held at Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands, California. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa, California.
