Sidney William Boersma

Sidney William Boersma passed away on October 28, 2010 in Yucaipa, CA. He was born June 14, 1966 in Bellflower, CA and resided in Artesia until 1977 when he and his family moved to Chino, CA. He graduated from Ontario Christian High School in 1984 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from California Baptist University in 2008. He served as a deacon and Cadet Counselor in the Christian Reformed Church and was currently a member of The River Christian Reformed Church in Redlands, CA. Sid most enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and was known for his gregarious and generous nature. He regularly teased and joked, and was a favorite uncle to his many nephews and nieces. He loved being a Dad. He is survived by his sons Caleb, Travis, and Dylan Boersma and their mother, Deanna Boersma of Yucaipa; parents, William and Joanne Boersma of Chino, CA; brother, Jeff Boersma (Tammelyn) of Lynden, WA; sister, Joyce Belden (David) of Ontario, CA his Opa, Joop Visee of the Netherlands, his Beppe , Elizabeth Boersma of Visalia, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 1 at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa Boulevard, Yucaipa, CA. The memorial service will be on Tuesday, November 2, 11:00 AM at The River Christian Reformed Church, 459 E. Highland Avenue, Redlands. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
