Steven Alfred Mathes

Steven Alfred Mathes passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25th, 2023 at the Yucaipa Hills Memory Care. He was born in Indiana on January 27, 1956.

He joined the U.S. Air Force and was a security specialist from 1975 to 1981.

Steven had been very involved in missionary work in Orange County and Mexico; distributing food and helping with the construction of buildings. He was employed in hospitals as a surgical/OR tech for the past 18+ years.

Steven is survived by his father, Earl Richard Mathes, and his siblings; Clint (David) Mathes, Richard Mathes, Robert Bodamer, Patricia (Bodamer) Jaskolski, Ken Bodamer, and Phillip Bodamer.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17th, 2023 at 12:30pm at the Riverside National Cemetery; he will be honored by the Blue Eagles Honor Guard.

Steven was energetic in his opinions when discussing religion, relationships, health, etc. and we will miss who he was and truly hope his joy with our Lord is now abundantly overflowing.
