Sue Elizabeth Bell

Sue Susie Elizabeth Bell was born in Findley, Ohio on February 12, 1918 and passed away September 1, 2013 in Yucaipa, California. She spent her childhood years in Lake Elsinore, CA where she met Jim her future husband and graduated from high school as student body president. She attended Riverside Community college and won several beauty contests along with a Hollywood screen test. She and Jim married in March 1938 and lived in Colton, San Bernardino and Rialto before retiring and moving to Redlands, CA. Sue and Jim loved to play bridge and dance. They hosted many teen-age dances in their home and taught many of their children s friends how to dance. Sue and her husband had Bell Plumbing and Heating Co. for twenty years and Sue retired from the San Bernardino County Welfare Auditing Department. After celebrating fifty two years of marriage, Jim passed away in September 1989. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Strange and sister Jeanne Colley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Del Morgan of Banning, CA; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lynne Bell of Palm Springs, CA; son-in-law, Bill Strange of Redlands, CA and grandchildren Lyndel and Neil Morgan, Jeanne Riddle, Sandra Livingston, Stephen and Jon Bell and twelve great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Braille Institute in Rancho Mirage, CA.
