Sue Gallagher Stoner

On this day 1/11/18, Sue Gallagher Stoner went to heaven to sing with the angels and help in heaven’s kitchen with what she loved to do best. Sue was a watcher, a thinker and a steadfast worrier. Sue was always the first to lend a hand on any project and was a strong shoulder to lift you up or cry on. She always stayed until the task was complete or the problem was solved. Her words of wisdom will be remembered forever. She loved to travel with her kids and Grandkids and never passed up an invite to go out for Mexican food. We will miss her huge heart, her charismatic personality and that never ending quick wit.

Born December 18, 1928, Memphis TN, to James Sidney York and Vernice Robinson York. Survived by her two Brothers, Robert York (Nancy) of Harrisville, UT. and Clifford Howery (Nancy) of Carlton, OR, along with her three son’s, Walter Gallagher Jr (Melanie) of Dana Point ,CA , Patrick Gallagher (Wendy) of Garden City, ID and Jeffrey Gallagher (Shannon) of Herald, CA. She has 12 amazing grandchildren and 14 beautiful great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her beautiful daughter Pamela, Sue’s first love Walter Paul Sr.1946-1988 and second husband Clinton Stoner 1994 -2009.

A special Thank you to the San Clemente Villas by the Sea assisted living for the above and beyond love, support, care and compassion they bestowed to her. Thank you to the incredible staff with Graceland Hospice for their class, compassion and professionalism. Thank you also to the Emmerson-Bartlett Mortuary Yucaipa team for the personal attention and care given during the final details of her journey.
A celebration of life will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah this summer.
