Terry Glen James

August 4, 1947 — February 12, 2010

Terry Glen James, age 62, an 18-year resident of Yucaipa, formerly from Fontana, Ca passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 12, 2010. He was beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Born August 4, 1947, in Milford, Utah, he moved to Fontana, CA at the age of four with his parents, Betty and Bud James, where he resided until 1992. He graduated Fontana High School in 1965. He served two years active duty with the United States Army and served in Vietnam from January 1968 to January 1969. He received his Associate Arts degree from Chaffey Community College in 1975. He worked as an electrician for Kaiser Steel in Fontana for 10 years prior to becoming a private electrical contractor, owning T.J. s Electric for 30 years. For many years, he was active in Fontana recreational sports including soccer and little league. He was a walk-on football coach for the FOHI Steelers from 1980 to 1986. A simple man, he enjoyed boating on Lake Havasu, riding his Harley and playing blackjack- work hard, play hard, make memories with family and friends was his way of life. Terry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joanie James; son Patrick (Hallie) James of Hesperia, CA; and grandchildren Tyler Glen and Allison Nicole; daughter Danielle (Joe) Fernandez of Fontana, CA; and Granddaughter Layla Renee; brother David (Sue) James of Pleasant Grove, UT; and nieces and nephews Abby, Katie,Madi, Chris, Nick, Alex; sister Jennifer Wenger of San Juan Capistrano, CA; niece,Lorie (Derek) Marschall, and nieces and nephew: Lindsey, Katlin and Caleb; nephews Justin Wenger of San Juan Capistrano, CA; and Geoff Wenger of Fountain Valley, CA; sister Melanie James of San Bernardino, CA. Graveside Services on Monday, February 22, 2010, 12:45 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area #4, 22495 Van Buren, Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to your favorite charity or to the American Heart Association, The juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or your local American Legion. Family entered the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel at 35208 Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa Ca 92399.
