Thea Jane Vogen, age 71, peacefully departed this world in the early hours of Monday, October 7, 2024, at Loma Linda University Hospital. Born on November 2, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Joy Virginia (Pawelczak) and Robert Ramsay Rollo. A proud graduate of Western High School in Anaheim, California, Thea embodied a deep appreciation for German culture, reveling in its culinary delights, traditional attire, and spirited dances.
Her passion for the arts was reflected in her extensive collection of German cookbooks, which she often turned to in crafting delectable meals for her family to savor. Thea was a vibrant performer, participating in the Phoenix Club’s karnevals during Mardi Gras and engaging in numerous dance groups throughout her life.
Fearless and adventurous, one of her fondest memories was paragliding—a thrilling experience she often reminisced about, dreaming of the day she could soar again.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, Thea leaves behind her cherished sons, David and Brian; her beloved sister, Dianna; her four adoring grandchildren, Evan, Kylee, Vincent, and Jamie; along with a host of family and friends.
All are warmly invited to honor and celebrate her remarkable life at the Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, located at 703 Brookside Ave, Redlands, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
