Thomas Melford Daniels, Sr.

Thomas Melford Daniels, Sr., age 85, passed away February 9, 2010 at his home in Cabazon, CA. He was born May 2, 1924 in Blair, Nebraska to John W. And Sallie Lee Daniels. Thomas served in the United States Army during World War II One of his fondest memories was the day he meet his wonderful wife and he went on to marry Opal Maxine on August 18, 1941. He retired from Shirley Brother s as a carpenter; but his most significant accomplishments in his life were to have and raised a wonderful family. He loved getting together on all holidays with his family and his hobbies included camping and bowling. Thomas is preceded in death by his loving wife, Opal Maxine Daniels, who passed away on January 6, 2000 in Banning, California. He is survived his daughter, Nancy Bennett of Desert Hot Springs, CA and son, Thomas M. Daniels II of Texas; 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 11:00am at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa, CA with a viewing one hour prior to service. Graveside Service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa, CA.
