Tootle Dew Robertson, Age 60, of Highgrove, CA. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2016, after a long and valiant battle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy.
Tootle was born on February 23, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He moved to North Hollywood where he spent his childhood and high school years. On January 12, 1980 he married Rebecca. They lived in Rialto where they were blessed with three sons, Justin, Jared and Jacob.
Following his dad and brothers footsteps, Tootle worked as a carpenter and construction superintendent until 2007. One of his greatest joys was being able to bring along his 3 boys and teach them the skills of the trade and the importance of hard work. In 2003, the family moved to Highgrove where Tootle, his wife and 3 sons all had a hand to building their home.
Tootle is survived by his wife, Rebecca; his sons Justin, Jared and Jacob, and 3 grandchildren; Bowen, Chloe and Cora. He is also survived by his sister Linda Fobear, and brothers Tony, Joe, and Charles Robertson.
More than anything, Tootle loved Jesus, his wife, his sons, his grand children and family, and has instilled in them the importance of faith in Jesus, the value of hard work and of course the pride in our Oklahoma Sooners.
He will be missed greatly here on earth, but will one day be joined by his family in the presence of our Lord forever.
Services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Wildwood Calvary Chapel located at 35145 Oak Glen Rd. Yucaipa, CA 92399. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
