Victoria Vicky Miller

April 30, 1918 — August 14, 2010

Victoria Vicky Miller was born on April 30, 1918 in Massachusetts. She graduated with a Nursing Degree from Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, CA on October 15, 1941. In 1947, she enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in Europe, Egypt and Japan until 1950. She was Medically Discharged in November of 1951. Vicky continued her career as a nurse working at Notre Dame Hospital, Temple Hospital, Riverside Community Hospital, Redlands Community Hospital and Plymouth Village. After retiring, Vicky took care of her mother until her death in 1985. She spent several years traveling around the world with friends. She is a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Yucaipa. She continued as an active member of the Catholic Daughters until her passing. Vicky spent the last years of her life living in Calimesa in a private board and care. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Miller. Vickie went peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2010, surrounded by friends who loved her deeply. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Frances X. Cabrini Church in Yucaipa on Tuesday, August 24 at 11:00 am, with a rosary preceding the Mass. Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, Vicky s request is that donations be made to Odyssey Hospice of San Bernardino. Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel of Yucaipa is handling arrangements.
