Virginia J. Backstrom

Virginia Backstrom, 92 passed peacefully in her home on January 04, 2017.
Virginia was a Native of Denver, Colorado where she attended Denver University before moving to California to attend UCLA. She was a member of Alpha Ganmo Delta Sorority. She had a lifetime of Community Services including President of the Carrillo PTA, a Girl Scout leader and Board member; Palm Springs Women’s club Scholarship Chairman National Charity League Assistance building Palm Springs Chapter, as well as many others.
She and her husband spent most of their lives in Palm Springs before building their dream home in Yucaipa almost 30 years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Robert Backstrom, and her daughter Diedri Lee, She leaves behind 2 grandchildren, Kevin Lee and Kimberly Marrs and 3 great grand Children.
