Walter Thomas Dean

Walter Thomas Dean, 63 of Yucaipa, passed away March 26, 2010 at the Loma Linda Veteran's Hospital. He was born December 9, 1946 in Coleman, Oklahoma. He is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Maldonado and her husband Jesse of Nipomo, CA; siters, Lola McKinney of Tyler, Texas, Helen Shelton of Spartanburg, SC, Wanda Bird of Yucaipa; brothers, Bennie Dean, James Dean, and Carl Dean all of Yucaipa; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Pauline Dean. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and he was a past member of the Calimesa Country Club, a member of the Elks Lodge 2389 of Yucaipa, and he graduated from Yucaipa High School in 1964. He served in the Army where he served a 13 month tour in Vietnam and he was honorably discharged as an E-5. Visitation will be held Monday April 5, 2010 at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Yucaipa from 5pm- 8pm, and funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 6, 2010 at 10am at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Yucaipa, followed by interment at Riverside National Cemetery.
