Weldon F. Clegg, 85, of Redlands, CA passed away peacefully at home. He was born on February 6, 1933 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He was the middle child of 7 children. In 1956 he met and married Mary Ellen Graves. Enlisted in the United States Air Force, Weldon proudly served our country faithfully and honorably for 24 years. Through his assignments he traveled to Japan, Greece, Germany, and Labrador. With a 3 year assignment to Hawaii, the family was able to join him. Upon retirement, with interest in antiques he opened his own shop in San Bernardino, CA for 17 years. Weldon’s other interests include gardening, golfing, early morning yard sales, and attending auctions. He was a member of the Music Box Society of Southern California, having an extensive collection dating from the 1800-1900’s. Weldon is preceded in death by his wife, Mary of 62 years and their son Daniel W. Clegg. He is survived by two daughters, Karen Clegg of Redlands, Cynthia Renier (Jeff) of Rancho Cucamonga, grandchildren, Daniel F. Clegg, Ashley Jodoin, Robert Renier and Matthew Renier. His brother, Clyde Clegg of Tempe Arizona, sister, Alice Alexicu of Roseville, Michigan, brother in law, Steve Graves of Redlands and many nieces and nephews. A service will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Mortuary on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. 703 Brookside Ave. Redlands, CA 92373 and will be laid to rest after the first of the year at the Riverside National Cemetery.
