William Bill Alvin Grammer, 79, of Redlands, California passed away from Parkinson s at his home on September 2, 2013. Known by his family as Poppy , he was born April 5th, 1934 in Elmhurst, Illinois. As the only child of William and Florence Grammer, he moved to San Bernardino County in 1952 and resided in Redlands for 45 years. He was employed as a Service Manager at Diesel Injection Service in San Bernardino for 44 years. His hobbies included woodworking, traveling, and watching football. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; three sons, Fred of San Diego, Richard and his wife Margie of Redlands, and John and his wife Kristin of Yucaipa; four grandchildren, Keith, Jessica and her husband Jeff, Ryan and Emma, and five great grandchildren; Mikey, Nick, Julianna, Nevaeh, and J.D. A memorial and graveside service will be held beginning at 10am on Monday, September 9th at Emmerson-Bartlett Mortuary. Reception to follow at American Legion Post 106.
