William Candelaria

William (Bill) Candelaria, age 61, passed away on January 22, 2015. Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Corine Candelaria, their son, Billy Candelaria, Eddie Sandoval, Michael Sandoval, Shannon Sadler, and 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers, Robert Candelaria and Tom Candelaria. He was born on January 30, 1953 in Tularosa, New Mexico to George and Ruth Candelaria. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Army and served two active years. He resided in California after his military service and was employed by the US Postal Service. In 2008, he retired after working over 30 years with the USPS. Bill was an avid sports fan and always had a game to watch. In his earlier years, he played basketball and coached his son's baseball team. He enjoyed his daily walks with his loyal companion, Monroe; his dog of over ten years. He was a kind and caring husband, loving and fun father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. A service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA. Bill will be interred at the Riverside National Cemetery. A reception will be held to celebrate Bill's life and what would have been his 62nd birthday.
